Removing the lock ring and ignition
distributor control gear
Provisionally fit the taper gear and
the alternator rotor on the driving shaft. Then fit tool # 88713.0108
on the shaft to prevent the engine from rotating. Then remove the
half-bush and the Seeger ring which retain the control gear. Open the
lock washer and remove the lockring and gear, using the special box
wrench # 88713.0105.
